Stick A Toe in First

I’ve talked to you this week about many things that are good for most people and help them. Some things in life are right for you, and some things in life are bad for you. And, only you know what is good or bad for you. And, you cannot understand that unless you try something that is meant to be good and verifying the results.

There is an 80/20 rule in life, where good things are good for the majority of people, and yet there’s a small portion of the population, for one reason or another that may have an opposite effect. I have friends and family who gets sick every time they take a flu shot. So they do not take those shots. I know some people who have aversions to other things, so they just don’t do them, and that is good for them.

It is essential to know what works for you and what does not. Then you have to work with those things that work well for you. The thing to remember is that if you’re not sure if something will work for you or not, you have to try it. You don’t do this by diving in head first. You start by sticking in a toe. If whatever your testing feels good and seems to work for you, try a little more. If the thing that you tried gives you adverse effects, then you may want to back away from it. Either way is all right as long as it is your way.

There are many ways to do most things. If one way does not work well for you, you may want to look at alternatives and try another approach. Most importantly do not give up on who you want to be and where you want to go. With everything that is out in the marketplace today, and the ability to reach just about anywhere through the Internet, there are far more ways to get something done than we can imagine.

The biggest thing you should do for yourself is to hone your abilities to research. If you know how to find information, you can find whatever you want or need. Not only that, you will probably find whatever you want or need from multiple resources: multiple sellers, on numerous sites. When you research for things, do not stop at the first item, research what would be best for you.

If you ever need a tip on researching or help trying to find what you’re looking for, please send me a line. You can always get me through the comments section.

Thanks for being with me today. I hope to be with you again soon.

Get Better

It is one thing to be sick, and quite another to let an illness take control of us. When Dylan Thomas wrote about raging against the dying of the light, I believe he had this in mind. Being sick is one thing accepting it is quite another.

We all get sick from time to time. And yes, we do have to take care of ourselves. The trick is to get the rest, receive the required medicines, and give ourselves time to heal. It is equally important that as we improve, we move back towards our normal activities. Maybe with a little reserve at first, to ensure we do not have a relapse by striving for too much too soon, with doing what we can without making things worse.

Please take this for the entertainment value it brings.  There are all types of experts in the world which will lend us their thoughts on what we should do and how we should do it, and what will keep us well and what won’t. The only absolute expert is you. You know what you can do, and you know what your body can take. Just remember that the body is like a fine-tuned utility vehicle. You never know what it can do until it’s pushed a little.

I’m not saying you should do this or should do that, nor can I do so because I don’t know you personally. What I can say, is listen to yourself. Know what you’re capable of, and understand what you have to do when things are not quite right. That would include knowing when to turn towards the professionals for better diagnosis and better methods of treatment. After all, if they have studied the human body and wellness for years, and they see and heal illnesses every day, then listening to them could save you a lot of worries and a lot of downtimes.

As with everything, you do not take my word for any of this. Test it out in small doses and see what happens. After all, everything could work at some point, and probably no one thing will work all the time. You have to know what’s going on with yourself and how it’s making you feel, and if you can’t fix it or overcome it, then it is time for the professionals to step in.

NOTE:  I am not advising you go out and do this. Please look at this blog only for its entertainment value. You need to do what you believe is right for you. This blog explains what I do for me. Do not do this because I say so. I am only giving you something to consider and think about. After all, I am not the professional on your needs, and You need to listen to your medical professionals and do what is right for you.

Have a good day today. Hope to be with you again tomorrow.
