Finding Joy in Everyday Moments

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos and forget to appreciate the little moments that bring us joy. Finding joy in the small things is a powerful way to cultivate happiness and gratitude. Whether it’s savoring a cup of coffee in the morning, sharing a laugh with a friend, or simply taking a moment to breathe in the fresh air, there are countless opportunities to find joy all around us.

One way to enhance our ability to find joy in everyday moments is to practice mindfulness. By being fully present and aware of our surroundings, we can better appreciate the beauty and wonder of the world around us. Reflecting on what we are grateful for helps us shift our focus from lack to what we have, further amplifying our joy.

Joy doesn’t always have to come from big, extravagant moments. Joy is found in the simplest of things if we take the time to look for it. Slow down, be present, and find joy in the everyday moments that make life special.

A retired Air Force Master Sergeant, Mike used to lay in bed at night and worry about what would happen if his plant closed or found himself without a job. One day his plant closed. Rather than panic and hysteria (OK, maybe a little) Mike found himself carried away on the adventure of his life. Mike started with the best job he ever had working at Home Depot. He spent 8 years working with job seekers at a local workforce center, helping them to find employment. He then started his own company developing courses, writing books and urging others to follow their own paths into the future. Mike holds a Master of Arts in Adult Education and Training and a Bachelor of Business Management, earned through the University of Phoenix and an AAS degree in Electronics Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Mike is a member of the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society.
